Açık ve Uzaktan Eğitim Fakültesi (AUZEF), İstanbul Üniversitesi bünyesinde açıköğretim ve uzaktan öğretim programlarının faaliyetlerini yürüten fakültedir. 2009 yılı itibarıyla uzaktan öğretim; 2011 yılından itibaren ise açıköğretim programları kapsamında öğrenci kabul eden AUZEF, bugün gelinen noktada Türkiye’nin en önde gelen dijital fakültesi olma yönünde sürekli ilerlemektedir 2024 yılı itibarıyla AUZEF’in bünyesinde 36’sı açıköğretim ve 11’i uzaktan öğretim olmak üzere toplamda 47 aktif program yer almaktadır. Bunların 20’si lisans, 23’ü önlisans ve 4 tanesi de lisans tamamlama programlarıdır. AUZEF, dijital öğrenme-öğretme metotlarını kullanarak tüm öğrencilerine zaman ve mekandan bağımsız bir şekilde İstanbul Üniversitesi standartlarında eğitim alma fırsatı sunmaktadır.
