CandySuds is a bench companion for people who make cold process soap. Choose your fats from a catalogue of 34 oils and butters, set a superfat and a water ratio, and the four step calculator works out the sodium or potassium hydroxide, the water and the finished batch weight. As you move the percentages it also predicts how the bar will behave, scoring hardness, cleansing, conditioning, lather and shelf life against the ranges the craft has settled on, so you can see a harsh or short lived bar before you pour it. Every batch you make gets a dated entry with a cure timer, which means you always know what is ready and what still needs another fortnight. The pantry keeps track of what is on the shelf, draws it down when you pour, warns you before you run out and costs each batch right down to the price of a single bar.
